Wave it at me just a second. You got a copy of God's word. Very good. In just a few minutes, when I finish, you are going out to open this book for yourself. And before we open it together, I want you to look at me for just a moment, I want to tell you something to encourage you you know God gives preachers and teachers and people like me to share God's word and I love doing

what I'm doing but for me the greatest thing on earth is for you to understand

that God can speak directly to you through his word.

That you don't have to have somebody else to help you know God, that you can come to know

God yourself each day as you let God speak to you and as you speak to him.

The goal is God.

I love the theme this year.

I love the emphasis about knowing God.

Look, that's what this book is.

This book is God's revelation of himself.

The word revelation literally means take the curtain back.

It's like God pulled the veil back and said, here I am.

And this is powerful.

God wants you to know him he's not

playing hide and seek he's revealed himself on the pages of holy scripture and you will

know God as well as you know his word you know funny thing in my own experience my own life
