I want you to open your Bible with me in the New Testament, if you will, to the book of
1:03.3	1 Peter, 1 Peter chapter number one.
1:06.5	And we're going to live here today in just a handful of verses.
1:10.8	Amazing, how much truth God can pack into a few verses.
1:14.6	And I bring you here because our friends who run the place and were directed to ask me to come today
1:22.4	have designated the theme of this day as a living hope, a lively hope. And I want to show you that
1:29.4	portion of scripture from the Bible and make some applications to your family. Now, before we read
1:33.5	the Bible, let me just tell you that when I finish preaching in a few moments, and just before
1:39.4	the helicopter lands, I understand, we're going to have a season of prayer under this tent. And when we do,
1:45.8	I'm going to ask everybody that's listening to me to join me in one of two prayers. I want
1:52.2	you to listen with your heart and listen with the understanding that you're not just here to hear,
1:57.2	you're here to respond to God. Look at me at 1 Peter chapter 1, verse number 1.
2:01.5	The Bible says Peter takes pen in hand and writes, Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
2:08.3	to the strangers.
2:09.8	Everybody stop and look at the person next to you just a minute.
2:12.0	How many think you're looking at a stranger right there?
2:14.5	Anybody looking at a stranger?
2:16.0	Let me ask you differently.
2:16.9	How do you think the person next to you looks strange?
2:18.6	Would you raise your hand?
2:20.1	Now, those are two different things.
