0:57.8	dangerous things about Bible College, dangerous is that if you're not careful, you get acquainted with
1:03.6	lots of things about the Bible, but you lose your passion for the Bible. It's dangerous. Frankly,
1:09.6	it's not just Bible college, it's ministry.
1:12.0	One of the great dangers in the Lord's work is you can start opening this book looking
1:15.3	for sermons and things to say to other people and miss the great message from the heart of God
1:20.3	to your own heart. And so every year I take a portion of scripture as my passage for the year.
1:31.4	This year I took Psalm 119. That's a long passage, isn't it? 176 verses long, all but two of them, directly referenced the scriptures in some
1:38.2	way. They're called different things, statutes, judgments, precepts, and on and on testimonies. But it's all
1:43.7	the Word of God. It is literally the
1:45.7	Psalm of the Scriptures. It is, if it were a chapter, the longest chapter in the Bible. It's not a
1:49.6	chapter. It's a song, literally, one of the Psalms. But it's all about the Scriptures. Now,
1:55.9	what I decided to do every day, I've been taking a different section of Psalm 119 and I've been reading
2:02.5	through it praying through it and I'm doing something a little different this year I've
2:05.3	never done before I'm writing it in a journal I'm writing out the very words of scripture
2:10.5	because I'm finding something your mind works when your pencil moves and so while I'm writing
2:15.5	I'm engaging with the very words of the word of God, and it's
