Summary

It was July 1980 and the Olympic Games were beginning in Moscow. In Brentwood, Essex it was an uneventful Thursday evening for a recently married young couple until a horrifying sequence of events resulted in their brutal deaths. In this episode of the weekly UK True Crime podcast we examine the events leading up to their murder.

Although to many, the event was tainted by those good old politicians using sport as a

political weapon, this meant that many Western countries boycotted the games.

Just thank goodness our political leaders have learnt the lessons of the past, leaving

sport out of their disagreements, and that the tensions between Russia and the West

are now disappeared.
