finding me finally. John was nice enough to send me a copy of his book. He recently wrote a book

called The Wealthy Gardner, Lessons on Prosperity Between a Father and a Son. John,

why do you tell us a little bit about your background, and we can kind of start

there, because I really want to talk about this book. I was born and raised in a small town just

outside of Pittsburgh. I went to a Catholic grade school and a Catholic high school. I was just

like every other blue-collar kid in the middle class of America, and really just had three

transitions, I think, that defined where I am and who I am today.

At the age of 20, I came across a book Thinking Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

That book educated me to a success philosophy unlike anything we'd ever seen in the middle class,

and it gave me the ability to think bigger, to think of bigger possibilities.

So that was a pivotal book in my life.

But even so, I had to struggle through my 20s.

I graduated from a chiropractic college at the age of 24.

I came out of college $200,000 in student debt in today's dollars.

I worked in that practice for four years and sold it.
