Today we're kicking off a new series called The Better Way.

Those of you who are joining us online, we're glad you're with us, all of our campuses, venues, welcome as well.

In just a moment, we're going to jump into that series.

But I do want to just say, here's a couple things we did this summer. We went to moment, we're going to jump into that series. But I do want to just say,

here's a couple things we did this summer. We went to Michigan, where my family is from,

spent about a week there, went to South Carolina where Stacy's family's from, spent about

a week there. We went on a cruise. My oldest, Cadman, came back and said, I'm a cruise guy now.

So, apparently, he's got his new identity as a cruise guy.

So that's great.

And then for us as a family, we've enjoyed lots of time together.

But this last week, I had the opportunity to go to a cabin in the woods.

Stacey came with me for the first few days.

And then a couple guys from staff

came the last two days. But I want you to see, this was my view. I'm not doing it to make you

jealous, by the way. This is my view all week long, looking out this window at a canyon. It was

beautiful, glorious birds chirping all day long. It was wonderful. And I was out there for a very specific purpose to ask God

to give me fresh vision for both my life, my family, and our church. So him to give me vision

for myself and for our church. And I just got to say, I am so excited after this week,

and really after this whole summer watching God move, I'm so

excited about this next season of where God has us as a church.
