We are in week number two of a message series called The Better Way.

And I want to begin our time together, focusing in on some research I did this week.

Now, every so often when I'm preparing for a message, I'll go down a rabbit hole.

I'll start doing some research, and then I'll get lost in it, and that happened to me this week.

And I started by researching storage units, and I found out some very sobering statistics about storage units.

Now, this is not true for our international campuses, but here

in the United States of America, I found out that one out of every five people has a storage

unit where they put the extra stuff that they don't use on a regular basis in. One out of five.

How many of you are those one out of five? You can raise

your hands. I'm not going to shame you. Don't worry. And then another 14% say that they plan to get a

storage unit in the near future. So one out of every three Americans in the future might have a

storage unit, which is wild to think about. In addition to that, storage units have grown

by 15% in the last five years, so this is like an emerging market, because seemingly we buy more

things than we need, and we have to have a place to put all those things that we don't use,

and it's just a wonderful problem that so many people have. But it's also a challenge when you have things, and sometimes in your life you might feel that.

You're like, what do I do with it?

Do I throw it away?

And maybe you just throw it in your garage.

And just out of curiosity, in Orange County, those of you who live here at all of our campuses,

how many of you actually park your car in the garage?
