who after realizing his anecdotes on this program hit great numbers on the

Scrum Five Social Account has announced his retirement for potential career on

the after dinner circuit.

Congratulations John I'm glad we could have I'm glad we made that

journey a little bit easier for you. Yeah the transition seems to be going to

a lot smoother than I thought it would be but no I think it was a decision that I obviously took some time to figure out what was important

and you know there was a hope to maybe do some traveling playing abroad, but I thought it was like a line in the sand moment where

you know I felt very fortunate and you know I'm happy and you know obviously very proud of my career and you know it's on to the next thing now.

Where was the change you know of heart obviously a couple of weeks ago we were set on this and you were looking forward to a club.

Is there a certain time or time in the day that you just thought it was right?

No, I think it was just, you know, I kind of like in my own head was, you know, understood that, you know, I'm 36, I've been very lucky to play for a long time and you know the opportunity might not arise and
