I know we get ridiculed for often being late, but we are only slightly late this time because we have three brilliant guests, by the way, but one of those guests is over the Atlantic, because we're talking the war on trans people is what we're talking about today and alas, it's not just a British phenomenon that it has certain British characteristics.

But I think it was my fault because I didn't check out the time zone and I can see now as well. We have that guest Arden here, which I'm about to just introduce them all very quickly before we do a little rundown introduction. We are talking about the war on trans people and their rights. In fact, a war on their very right to exist, which is being waged in the media and by politicians on both sides of it the Atlantic. I think it's important we join the dots. That's what we're going to do today.

The reason they show is very important is because this debate has been dominated by people like myself, cis people, but generally I have to say, cis people have a different perspective on trans rights than myself. That is constantly talking about the very existence of trans people without trans people even being in the room, that's in broadcast interviews, that's in newspaper columns.

That is amongst politicians, that needs to be corrected and that's what we're doing today. So before we do my introduction, I'm just going to bring in just so everyone knows we've got our three brilliant guests. Let's bring them in. Now that caused, understandably, a big uproar

amongst LGBTQ people and their allies.

There was a big international conference,

the British government was supposed to be hosting.

LGBTQ organizations canceled their participation.
