0:13.0	The verdict is in on the harring case that gripped the nation,
0:26.6	the murder of Rachel Moran, a mother of five whose life was tragically cut short while jogging along the Ma and Paw Trail in Bel Air, Maryland.
0:36.6	We learned that morning that she had gone missing the day before,
0:40.3	and then a couple hours later, my son called me and he said,
0:44.3	Mom, there's someone here to speak to you.
0:46.3	And it was the lead detective, says,
0:50.3	Mrs. Morin, there's no easy way to tell you this,
0:55.3	but we found your daughter's body.
1:01.0	Sorry.
1:03.0	You don't expect to hear that news.
1:08.0	Like you think, and we heard she was missing, we thought, oh thought oh this isn't good because this is not like
1:13.6	Rachel but we weren't expecting them to find her so quickly and that she was dead and that she had only gone a few feet from her car. It was just so devastating.
1:28.3	In the beginning of the investigation, they actually didn't give us any details at all
1:33.3	because they wanted to keep the integrity of the case, like, very secure.
1:40.3	And then we got a fuller picture when they filed court documents.
1:47.0	And that's when we knew that she was raped.
1:50.0	He had grabbed her off the trail that she was on, dragged her through the woods.
1:55.0	They said that her body was blanketed and bruises.
2:00.0	There was like 10 to 15 head gashes and that she was strangled.
2:05.6	And then they stopped her into a sewer pipe for the trail.
