My name is Joel Mark Witt, and I'm Antonio Dodge.

At the time of this recording, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is on the rise.

And right now again at the time of this recording, it's becoming more of a household term.

People are talking about it.

It is something that is having to be reconciled in our modern world by banks, financial institutions,

countries, it's a technology that is here that looks like it's here to stay.

And people are scrambling to understand it and to manage it, to put regulation in place

for it.

All of these things are coming about.

And it's really interesting that anytime a new technology like blockchain or cryptocurrency

comes on the scene, if we don't have current narratives in place,

current meaning making stories about this thing, this new technology, we are really scrambling

as humans to try to use old narratives or old ways of seeing the world to apply to newer

technologies.

And I think that's really interesting.

As an example, one of the things that's being discussed right now currently is this

idea of non-fungible tokens.

And a lot of technicalities here, if you're not into crypto or blockchain, I don't even fully

understand it.

So I might be speaking out my own ignorance around this because I'm still in the process

of understanding how this works.
