Between continued assaults by Israel and Lebanon and mixed messaging from both Tehran and the White House,

the US-Iran ceasefire is on increasingly shaky ground.

We've got reports from Beirut of Israel's savage assault on Wednesday that paint a grim picture for civilians,

and is the illegal US-Israeli war in Iran the best thing that ever happened for Gistama? I'm Helena, otherwise known by my internet moniker, No Justice MCGN. I'm still in winter mode, but I've been trying to like soak up as much of the sun as I can before we head back into that horrible cloud with sun peaking out, 13 degree weather that we've got for the next weekend.

The reasons? Well, of course,

it's Israel's continued assault on Lebanon, as well as mixed messaging over the terms of

the truce from both the White House and Tehran. And with leaders from both countries set to meet

in Islamabad for negotiations on Saturday, both sides are ramping up the rhetoric and also the confusion.

It has been widely reported that an Iranian 10-point plan was the basis of the ceasefire.

Indeed, US President Donald Trump himself described the Iranian plan as, quote,

a workable basis on which to negotiate on Tuesday night.

But speaking at the White House on Wednesday, spokesperson Caroline Levitt rubbish that idea.

So let me be clear and correct the record.

The Iranians originally put forward a 10-point plan that was fundamentally

unsurious, unacceptable, and completely discarded.

It was literally thrown in the garbage by President Trump and his negotiating team.
