Our 500th Manager Tools cast, here we go.

Folks, stay tuned at the end of this cast for a celebration of our 500th cast and a discussion of our plans for our lead-up to our 10th anniversary in June of this year.

Many of us sit quietly when one of our projects is causing us to worry, right?

We can see some things that may go wrong in the next few days, the next few weeks.

Right? Like, for example, we realize that our plan requires resource and that resources no longer

help happens all the time.

We made a mistake, we messed up the schedule, right?

Our schedule was too optimistic, right?

Exactly. Or we know we're going to miss an upcoming deadline,

even if we don't have to report it yet is missed.

Like, for example, our reporting is,

we need to report it if the next reported task is going to is behind schedule

We know we know in our hearts that we're going to miss it right right it would be possible to not miss it

But the 17 other priorities we have this week in meetings we have to go to

we tell ourselves yeah I can work until two in the morning and there's a part of our

head going no I'm not going to work till two in the morning right I could do it I

could do it's possible but likely it's probably not we quote no

right right we're gonna mess and if you know that sitting quietly and saying

nothing is nothing short of unprofessional.

Yeah, yeah.
