On December 30th, 1957, a young girl disappeared suddenly, in a case that

for one reason or another, has a supreme lack of evidence. A case that, because of that,

has yet to be solved. So if you like your coffee hot, but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder.

During the summer of 1957, Anne Noblet, the daughter of a wealthy company director,

returned to her home in Hertfordshire, England, after studying for four years at a finishing school in Switzerland.

Adjusting rather well to being back home,

Anne made new friends, began attending the Watford Technical College,

and was excelling academically.

And on December 30, 1957,

she made plans to attend a dance class in Harpenden with a few of those new friends,

a decision that would end up having deadly consequences for the 17-year-old.

After the dance was through, Anne said her goodbyes and caught the 391 green line bus

that would take her back to her home in Marshall's Heath.

The last time anyone saw the teenager, described as innocent and shy, was when she disembarked

at the Cherry Trees pub at the bottom of the lane, close to her home at about 6 o'clock in the evening.
