I'm John Pupport. It's the editor of commentary magazine with me as always executive editor

0:33.6

A Greenwald Hyade. Hi John. Associate editor, Norah Rothman, Hinoa.

0:38.8

Hi John. And senior writer Christine Rosemite Christine. Hi John. So at some point today,

0:46.0

Donald Trump will be impeached for the second time. He making him the only president to have been

0:55.0

impeached twice. unclear what happens after this. Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the house,

1:04.5

could in theory somehow put the impeachment in her pocket and not transmitted to the Senate to lead

1:10.8

to a trial. This is putting the incoming Biden administration and incoming Senate majority leader

2:21.4

2:26.4

in a way that introduces that mucks everything up and removes whatever clarity might be provided by

2:35.0

the impeachment itself. So this is I think very unfortunate nonetheless. It still needs to

2:44.4

happen for the reasons that we have been outlining, I believe, which is that the reason, you know,

2:50.0

the main reason is that HAA, a president needs to be established that this barn door to
