0:15.4	Imagine you saw a LinkedIn account but could only see the person's resume not
0:19.8	their name or title and on this mysterious person's resume you read, Lord, Son of God,
0:26.7	divine ruler, Savior of the World. This person's list of accomplishments
0:31.5	includes that he's brought peace to the world.
0:34.5	Who is this mystery person?
0:36.1	Well of course you say the answer is easy, isn't it?
0:39.1	Of course it's Jesus.
0:40.5	Well, maybe.
0:42.1	If you had lived in the Roman Empire during the first century, you would have said the answer was Caesar.
0:47.0	You see, all the titles that we think of as belonging to Jesus were a claim that Jesus was the true king, not Caesar. And when the early Christians declared that Jesus
1:06.0	is king, there was an unspoken implication. If Jesus is king, then Caesar isn't.
1:12.8	Now that's the kind of thing that could get you killed.
1:15.8	Since we're on the topic of death, why do you think the Romans killed Jesus?
1:20.6	It wasn't because he was an itinerant preacher who taught people to love their neighbors and their enemies.
1:25.6	No, they killed Jesus because he claimed to be the true king, and therefore he was considered a rival to every other earthly king.
