Let's talk today about the real reason you feel jealousy.

Oh, jealousy is something we don't like to think about, we don't like to talk about,

we don't like to share with others. On top of jealousy we can often feel shame around

the jealousy or envy that we feel. And I want to look at the two core causes of jealousy with you today so that perhaps this could provide some relief or

some clarity or frankly some really worthwhile and interesting information that you could be curious about in your own life

Perhaps with how you judge yourself how you judge others and really what jealousy is how it can act as an invitation for you to elevate your life experience by elevating

what's happening inside of you.

Now when we think of jealousy in the traditional sense,

it's often backed up with feelings of hatred or anger or fear or resentment, we're all familiar as human beings with those emotions.

And the first cause of jealousy really is simply wanting what somebody else has.

Wanting what they get to be in the world, how they show up, maybe it's a possession, maybe it's a relationship.

But yes, we can easily feel that trigger inside of us of jealousy, that pang of jealousy,

if someone else gets or receives or gets to be do or have something that we want. Maybe your friend booked a two-week trip to Europe. Maybe your friend just

got engaged. Maybe someone just hit the bestseller list for, I don't know, their book. Maybe someone just had an incredible career change and you're like,

gosh, I really want that. There is no shame in feeling these emotions because jealousy can often lead the way, can be really great

information and insight into what it is that you most want. I remember being really jealous in my early

20s hearing about anybody who moved to New York City.

I didn't want to hear about it, I didn't want to talk about it, I secretly hated them and I hope that it wouldn't work out.
