Today we have with us public author and award-winning essayist to discuss her most recent book,

This would be Mary Ann's second book, but I'd like to welcome with us to the Pop Bear Hikes podcast,

the author of the 20 One Women's Track across Corsica's on the G20 trail.

Mary Ann bore welcome to Pop Bear Hikes.

Thank you so much. I'm really glad to be here.

The Mary Ann, it's very exciting what you did. I write about your book and some of your adventures,

and there's so much here to talk about with what goes into a book like this, because, you know,

from my own experience, there's some books that just read like trail journals. I hike this trail,

did this, did that, but for you, this was truly an adventure and an experience because you did

this with your husband, and right up front you talk about how you both went out there to celebrate,

you were celebrating your 60s birthdays. How cool is that?

That was very cool. We both turned 60 in March of that year, and then we had our 35th wedding

anniversary in May of that year. And so in August, we went on the the track to celebrate both those

things, to sort of mark them, you know, to mark those two big milestones.
