Merry Christmas and welcome to the Tudor Dixon Podcast. This is my favorite time of year for so many reasons, time with family, giving gifts, the

decorations throughout town, but most of all the birth of our Savior. And with all

stories in the Bible, Jesus Birth hits differently at different times throughout life.

When I was a child, I saw Mary as this amazing strong mother figure, and she was old and

wise.

Was that because she was old and wise? No, biblical scholars would say they believe that

she was likely around 15 to 16 years old. It was just because my child mind felt like Mary really got it because adults must really get it but then as

I got older I realized most adults are just faking it till we make it especially

when it comes to parenting.

And now as an adult I read the Christmas story.

I am in awe of Mary's obedience.

Let's read Luke 1, 26 through 38.

In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy,

God sent the Agile Gabriel to Nazareth,

a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged

to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David.

The virgin's name was Mary.

The angel went to her and said,

Greetings you who are highly favored.

The Lord is with you.

Mary was greatly troubled at his words

and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
