I am so glad you're joining me today.

Quite frankly, today we have a very hard story.

We're going to talk about in a word that some of you may not actually know.

It's called sex torsion and it sounds like something that would happen to adults

that you would probably never have happened to you.

And honestly, it's one of those stories where I thought,

this is not something that I need to worry about in my life until I heard

John and Jennifer's story.

And I'm so glad that they are choosing to join me today.

John Demay and Jennifer Buda, they lost their son Jordan last year to suicide

following an intense pressure campaign and sex torsion scheme

carried out by three Nigerian men.

John and Jennifer, thank you so much for being here.

I just want to kind of jump into this because like I said, I'm a mom of four girls.

And this was like a shock to me.

I heard this story and I thought, wow, something I've never thought to talk to my girls about.

So if you can just kind of explain in your own words what happened for other moms and dads

and grandparents out there to know, this is a real threat.
