We're doing a special podcast interview an episode today for the Red Nation

podcast main feed. I'm joined by some incredible indigenous women from Minishota

and they're gonna introduce themselves here in a moment.

But this is the first episode in a five-part series

that Red Media is producing as part of the Red Nation podcast.

It's about the Truth Project.

Truth stands for Towards Recognition and University Tribal Healing.

My lovely guests are going to talk a little bit more about what that means from an indigenous perspective.

But the Truth Project has come out of

widespread interest in the so-called United States following the revelations about land-grant institutions

that came out in a high country news article in August of 2020.

It's the first of its kind actually to be undertaken by indigenous researchers.

To hold universities, land grant universities, the University of Minnesota is a land

grant institution to hold them accountable and to move towards an

indigenous centered approach to university and tribal relations and the three

guests I have today have really been at the forefront of the

truth project. So I'm really thrilled you all are here. I'm sure our audience is

going to be really excited to hear more about this project. I did a rant on Red Power Hour a couple of months ago

about the history of the University of Minnesota, how like intensely racist and anti-Indian it is and so I'm really
