What are the behind the scenes that people never get to tell the real story of? That's what we're getting into a Smart Girl Summer.

Today, we're here with Amy Seeper. She is a pastor, an author, a seminary student,

a mom. She wears a lot of hats. And man, she has some stories. How did she get to where she is?

What advice would she give for women who want to write? And we also get into the behind the scenes

of what it's like to work with the traditional publisher. Some things are

great, some things we really need to be aware of. And she's going to say the one thing that all

writers need to know before their books come out. Before we get into the conversation with Amy,

If you are like me, you generally don't know how to tell people what you do.

When someone says, hey, what do you do at the football field sidelines?

What do you say?

My favorite thing right now is to just say I'm a writer because that just, that can go in a million directions with all the hats I wear.

Like it's true.

And yet you can fill in the blank.

I usually don't say pastor because you never know.

Oh, they might be crazy.

That may be a trigger word.

That could be a trigger.

And if I say author, then I feel people are like, oh, like it gets all, they get like, you know, starry-eyed or whatever.
