In this episode of Thick & Thin, we're tracing back tradition and unpacking the history of the wedding industry. I explore the origins behind modern marriage practices and discover that the meaning of the white wedding dress goes much deeper than the long-spun western tale of purity and virginity.// Follow me on IG: instagram.com/katybellotte/ SOURCES: A Natural History of the Wedding Dress | JSTOR Ancient Roman Bridal Fashion Chinese Wedding Attire Basics | THE KNOT Lives of the Queens of Scotland and English Princesses History of White Wedding Dresses | CNN And the Bride Wore | MONTANA WOMENS HISTORY The Meaning of Something Old | THE KNOT Learn more about your ad choices.
