Malachi chapter three.

Today I'm going to talk about tithing.

I was like, ugh.

Now if you're new here, I gotta say, the last time I talked about tithing was 14 years ago

when we're in Malachi chapter 3.

That was the last time I did a whole sermon on tithing.

So I've only done it twice now.

This will be second time doing a whole Sunday sermon on tithing was so I've only done it twice now this will be second time

doing a whole Sunday sermon about tithing so if you're new here oh not another 30 week series on

tithing you know that's not Athe Creek we don't do it that way the reason can anybody

guess why I'm going to talk about tithing today anybody anybody? It's where we're at in the scriptures.

We go verse by verse, chapter by chapter.

And this Malachi chapter three is arguably kind of the epicenter of the topic of tithing.

And that's why we're going to talk about this. And, you know, we live in a world that, you know, understandably is sort of weirded out by the whole topic. And let me just

give you a few divine disclaimers before we get into this. Disclaimer number one, the reason I'm

talking about tithing, it's not because, number one, Athe Creek is not broke and we don't need

your money. Nor does the Lord need your money. I want to make that clear. You know, I'm always saddened by these ministries that, oh, you need to money. Nor does the Lord need your money. I want to make that clear. I'm always saddened

by these ministries that, oh, you need to give, we're going to close our doors unless you give your money.

And it's like, I kind of always feel like, and I say this sadly and humbly honestly, but maybe it's

time to close the doors. If the Lord's not providing, we've always kind of believed if God guides, he will provide, and it doesn't have to go through coercion or fundraising or all that stuff.
