All right well we should get started because we have a lot to cover. And I've been very excited about getting into these subjects

So we're gonna talk today about popular but non-canonical books.

Then we're gonna talk about heretical books from the early church periods, and these

are the books that oftentimes, well some of these books, we have people suggesting they belong in the Bible, but they were kept out, they were blocked out, they were kicked out.

Now we've sort of ruled that out from last week.

Last week we talked about how we got our canon of scripture. This week I just

want you to be familiar with these books because knowledge is power and a little

bit of knowledge here will really empower you in a good way. So let's just get started. We'll get right into it. We're going to quote from the texts themselves in a lot of cases and look at what they are. The first one on our list of here we're going to start with popular books that were popular in the early church but they were not canonical.
