Well, hello and welcome back to Kindled.

I'm your host, Haley, and I have a very interesting and relevant, timely conversation

for you today with an expert on Islam. This topic has been in the news

a ton because of Zoran Mamdani, who is running for mayor of New York City and is looking

like he is very likely to win. And so a lot of us have been realizing just how influential

Islam is becoming in our country as we are having more and more elected leaders

and realizing that this worldview, this religion, and this political strategy does not,

does not work with the Constitution. Their religion, their beliefs, everything goes against

our founding beliefs as Americans.

And so what is happening is a subversion of our system.

And they are actually, Laura is going to talk about how they are using a practice that is called Takia,

which is a Muslim teaching that subversion and deception and lying is

actually permitted in order to promote their religion while they are the minority.

But it is with the end goal of becoming the majority and then converting America to a Muslim

state.

That is a scary reality. We all, we all need to get very

comfortable with and familiar with quickly. And I don't mean comfortable like accepted. I mean,

you need to be aware of what is happening and get educated very quickly. And so I'm going to be

doing several episodes on Islam. I feel that it's something that is not being talked about enough, actually,

and that Christians need to really be staled against accusations of racism or Islamophobia

or just these silly things that are used to silence you, that are used to tell you,

do not bring your faith into the public sphere.
