Summary

In this episode of The Jordan Syatt Mini-Podcast, I discuss many aspects of recovery with my podcast producer, Tony. I talk about how so many people are missing the forest for the trees with complicated and expensive recovery modalities, the number one thing you can do to help with recovery that is free and easy, anabolic steroids, and more. I also discuss why I think elite bodybuilding as a sport is unhealthy, why social media influencers feel pressured to lift too heavy too often, and the times that I've felt most happy with my life. Check out the the Youtube video mentioned in this episode about when I drank a LOT of coffee to prove that it doesn't cause dehydration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt9Mj9WRwH4 If you have any specific questions about recovery, send them to Tony (@tone_reverie on Instagram) and if we get enough responses we will do a part two! I hope you enjoy this episode and, if you do, please leave a review on iTunes (huge thank you to everyone who has written one so far). Finally, if you've been thinking about joining The Inner Circle but haven't yet... we have hundreds of home and bodyweight workouts for you and you can get them all here: www.sfinnercircle.com.

it, no clue. But it's going to be at the most in our 10 minute podcast at the most. That's

0:23.6

what I know. But anyway, Tony, how are you bro? I'm doing well. I've got my cold brew

0:29.2

right here. Nice. How do you take it? This is like a concentrate. So there's just a touch of

0:36.0

water in there. And that's it. Wow. That's that is a very dark coffee right there. It's dangerous.

0:44.8

That's a dangerous coffee. The thing about cold brew is it goes down smooth. Okay. Sometimes,

0:52.8

you know, I'll be I'll be drinking to satisfy my thirst. And then, you know, half an hour later,

0:58.4

I've got the jitters. Bro, do you ever see my YouTube video where you saw the one where I

1:03.9

drink coffee? Dude, that was so bad. That's what made me think when you were like, yeah, I drank

1:10.4

it to quench my thirst because I was drinking a lot of coffee to quench my thirst to hydrate. Yeah,

1:16.5

yeah, to literally hydrate as terrible. Yeah, don't ever do that again. Dude, never, never,

1:24.1

and for listening who doesn't know what happened, I drank coffee. There's a whole myth that coffee

1:29.2

dehydrates you, which aside from the research being very clear that that's not accurate,

1:35.0

common sense would tell you you're literally just drinking water that's filtered through a bean.

1:40.5

So of course, it's not going to dehydrate you, but it can show people research and talk

1:45.1

common sense all you want. I was like, you know what? I'm just going to only drink coffee for 24

1:48.8

hours and measure the hydration status via urine so people can see that I'm still hydrated.

1:55.4

And I had so much caffeine that day that I go watch the video. I'll leave it at that.

2:03.2

It's because if you google search like Jordan, Sciet, coffee, well, actually, you know what? Let me see

2:08.3

what Jordan, Sciet, coffee, YouTube, let me see what comes up. Yep, it's the first one that comes

2:14.1

right up. It's as I drank only coffee for one whole day. You want to throw it in the notes?
