0:07.2	something that many women don't really feel comfortable talking about, which I feel is a very
0:13.3	important subject to bring up, especially for women in menopause. And that is herpes.
0:19.8	Genital herpes, actually, specifically. And this is something that I myself
0:24.1	have struggled with and also had some shame over whenever I first found out that I had it,
0:30.3	thinking that I had developed some kind of STD or something and didn't want to tell anyone,
0:34.5	didn't know what it was. And then whenever I started talking about it
0:38.3	openly, I realized that almost every woman that I spoke to also suffered with general herpes.
0:45.2	Like literally, the amount of women that have genital herpes that don't even realize that they
0:50.9	have it, they don't even know what it is, or they know that they have it and they don't discuss it with anyone because they're too ashamed, is honestly astonishing. And then
0:58.5	once I started diving into the research into this, just to get help with my own condition, I realized
1:03.4	that, I'm just going to check my notes here, so I get it correct. I think it's one out of every
1:09.4	seven woman has it. Let me say, well, here it is here. one out of every seven woman has it.

1:13.6	One out of six, over half of Americans have herpes.
1:19.6	And one out of six Americans have genital herpes.
1:23.6	One out of six Americans have genital herpes. That means that you know millions of people,
1:32.6	well, not millions, maybe thousands of people, hundreds of people, however many people you know,
1:35.9	you know a lot of people who have genital herpes. But of course, nobody talks about it because we are
1:39.9	taught to believe that sex is dirty and that, you know, STDs are dirty and anything that comes from
1:45.8	sex is dirty, which actually opens up a whole other conversation. Because if we come from sex,
1:51.7	we as human beings are a product of sex, does that not mean that we inherently believe on some level
