Hi John. We had an interlude yesterday in which we discussed elevated matters like the

condition of the war in between Russia and Ukraine. Iran and the status of foreign policy

in the 21st century. So now we're just back to rank punditry. We didn't really talk about

Trump's announcement speech on Monday night or Tuesday night or I can't remember what night

it was was a Tuesday night. It was Tuesday night. Sorry, it feels like it was like a year and a half

ago, which by the way probably speaks to something in the quality of the speech. It was not a good

speech, but then he's not somebody who gives speeches per se. So this was a very weird moment.

And everybody is saying it's low energy. My question is nobody remembers announcement speeches.

I mean, you remember them when they go bad, like sort of Hillary's weird thing where she

did it on Roosevelt Island that the four freedoms park and it somehow just didn't didn't

go well. But I mean, nobody really remembers these moments.

But when they remember, we remember these moments when he does them, we were we were everyone
