We're continuing this hour to follow developments in the killing of 37-year-old Alex Pretty by federal agents in Minneapolis this weekend.

In the wake of this latest killing, state and local officials from the Minneapolis mayor Jacob Fry to the Minnesota governor, Tim Wall Walls have renewed their demands that the Trump

administration remove federal immigration forces who are deployed to the city, forces that are

estimated to be as much as five times larger than the city's police force.

Yesterday, the Attorney General of the United States, Pam Bondi, sent Minnesota Governor Tim

Walls a letter. In it, she proposed a

three-step solution to, quote, bring back law and order in Minnesota, end quote. There was not a

law and order problem in Minnesota before ICE got there, by the way. Here's what she said Minnesota

officials need to do in order to get Trump's ICE troops off their streets to, quote, bring an end to the chaos.

Again, let's be clear.

There wasn't chaos in Minneapolis until ICE and CBP got there.

Number one, here's number one, the demand number one from the Attorney General.

Share the state's records on Medicaid and food and nutrition service programs.

Number two, repeal sanctuary policies. And number three,

quote, allow the civil rights division of the Department of Justice to access voter roles to

confirm that Minnesota's voter registration practices comply with federal law as authorized by the

Civil Rights Act of 1960, end quote.

Let's just be clear about this.

The Attorney General of the United States is not arguing that ICE and CBP need to be in

Minneapolis for real reasons of immigration enforcement.

She's saying, you don't like them there?

Fine.
