team. All right, today we are looking at John Chapter 18 verses 12 through 14 and today we're going to look at

this scene where everything comes to a head in the opposition against Jesus.

But what we're going to see is that the opposition really isn't

opposition.

Now don't misunderstand.

Jesus is truly being opposed. This is really happening in real time and in real life,

but God being the authority of all of history is behind the scenes working for his good and for the good of the entire world.

We're going to see that hinted at in this passage.

So let's look at John 18, 12 through 14.

It says, so the band of soldiers and their captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound him.

First they led him to Anis, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas who was the high priest that year.

It was Caiaphas who had advised the Jews that it would be expedient that one man should

die for the people.
