The best gifts are not material but spiritual, not temporal, but eternal, and not earthly, and not earthly, but heavenly.

In the book of Ephesians, we discover a rich list of what God has given to his children.

Let's join Scott Pauley now as we open this portion of scripture and take inventory of all spiritual blessings that are ours in Christ.

Sometimes people will say to me,

well, you know, I don't see the Trinity in the Bible.

Well, it's true, the word trinity is not found in the Bible,

but the thrice holy God is, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

The Bible word is the Godhead.

That's really the biblical expression for the Trinity.

The Godhead is found all through Scripture, and Ephesians is full of the doctrine of the Trinity, full of the Godhead.

Not three gods, one God expressed in three

persons. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, co-equal, co-existent, co-eternal.

We've come to the last few verses of Ephesians chapter number two.

Now, I'm fascinated by this because if you remember back in Ephesians

one when we started our study, all spiritual blessings, we identified in those opening few

verses, the blessings of the Father, the blessings of the Son, and the blessings of the Holy Spirit.

Do you remember that? Now when you come to the end of Ephesians chapter 2, guess what we're brought back to?

The same thing.

And when God repeats himself, it's always for emphasis.

When God repeats himself, it is never because he forgot he said the first time.

And God repeats himself, it's because there's something there he doesn't want us to forget that he said.

And so we come today to Ephesians chapter 2 and verse number 18.
