And I still haven't written a screenplay knowing that I was going to be directing it.

It was the case of Molly's game, Chicago 7, and now being the Ricardo's,

I wrote it not knowing I was going to be the director of it.

I think if I was writing Chicago 7, knowing that I was going to direct it,

I think I would have worked really hard to find a way to do it

without the two riots.

Today's episode takes us behind the scenes of director Aaron Sorkin's historical drama, The Trial of the Chicago

Seven. The film recounts the infamous and unfair trial of seven political activists

after a peaceful protest turned into a violent clash with the police at the 1968 Democratic

National Convention in Chicago. In addition to the trial of the Chicago 7, Mr. Sorkin's directorial credits include

2017's DGA Award-nominated feature film, Molly's Game.

Mr. Sorkin spoke with director David Fincher about filming the trial of the Chicago

7 in front of a virtual audience.
