Joe Biden off to Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the people running the country, which is not him, announce under his signature, an executive order to close the border to illegal aliens.

What's interesting about that is first of all he said he didn't have that power.

So this raises a question

that is as disturbing as any aspect of self-governance.

We're not a democracy, we're a republic.

Otherwise, we'd be voting all the time.

We'd have to go down to the town square.

So what we do is we elect people and we vote on them who then do all the

voting. But it is in effect an agency form, a representative form of that.

Because if we had to vote all the time,

we wouldn't be able to bake the bread

and build the houses and build the cars and surf on Facebook all day.

So it really raises a question for them to issue a presidential proclamation that will temporarily

suspend the entry of non-citizens across the southern border, as it's being described,

raises a question. The only reason they would do that is not because we've had more cases of illegal aliens

coming across the border killing people, which we have, and we'll get to those today.

It's not because it is a burden on border communities

because they don't care.
