On July 9th, 1965, a man was born who would go on to kill for years. A man who,

according to those who knew him, was polite, kind, and completely unassuming. So if you like your

Anthony Belom, born July 9, 1965 in Trenton, New Jersey, was, during the 1994-1996 period, living with a roommate and in a 10-year-long relationship with a woman who bore him two children.

A known drug user and known by police for a woman who bore him two children. A known drug user, and known by

police for a handful of drug and burglary offenses, Anthony was described as unassuming, polite, and

soft-spoken. He kept himself, and though he temporarily moved to Detroit from July of 1995

to January of 1996, he was a Trenton man

through and through. He was also a man who, unbeknownst to the people who knew him, was

secretly going by another name, one given to him by the press, the Trenton Strangler.

According to the sources, the unassuming man would troll through the streets within two

miles of his home and look for the victims who he knew walked through the night.

Approaching a sex worker around the time the sun started to rise, Anthony would offer them crack

in lieu of money, and if they agreed, he would take them to an isolated location.

Once there, he would pull out a knife, rape the woman, and then strangle them to death

before abandoning them in a vacant lot, or in one case a rundown hotel, for the police to find.

In total, between 1994 and 1996, Anthony Belom took the lives of four different women.
