home country of Italy, has embarked on a solo trip around the world.

Shortly after arriving in New Orleans, Yelena vanishes without explanation.

The disappearance would generate a few leads, including a musician who attempted to

use Yelena's traveler's checks and a witness who allegedly saw her jump into the Mississippi

River.

However, no trace of Yelena Kareesi has ever been found.
