Summary

On April 26, 1880, the Tombstone, Arizona, newspaper, The Epitaph, printed a startling report. According to the article, two cowboys saw a giant bird outside of town, shot it, and carried its gigantic carcass into Tombstone.

How, I asked myself, could what seemed to be a prehistoric flying creature have been shot down by cowboys in the 1880s? Such a thing seemed impossible, but here was the story – and, of course, there was the photograph. That was the really exciting part! I still remember what that photograph looked like! Or do I?

0:36.1	the podcast we're in but at the root of it the story actually begins in Los Angeles in the

0:44.5	familiar with but since it's still unsolved I don't see any harm in
0:48.5	revisiting it again, especially since one of you out there just might have what I'm looking for.

0:56.6	First I want to mention to all of you who are fans of the podcast and of the American
1:00.4	hauntings company in general that tickets went on sale yesterday for the
1:04.7	long delayed haunted America conference. As some of you might remember we had to
1:09.0	postpone it in 2020 for the first time in 24 years because of the pandemic.

1:21.0	We don't have as many tickets available as usual this year since so many people decided to carry
1:26.5	over their tickets to 2021. So if you're hoping to come to what we believe is the biggest
1:31.5	and best Ghost Avenity Year, we advise getting those tickets as soon as you can at ghost conference.
1:39.1	But now let's get to the mystery that I wanted to tell you about in this episode.
1:45.2	I love mysteries and I think that most of you who are listening love them too. My love for mysteries does not end
1:51.3	with ghosts. I'm always fascinated by missing people, unsolved murders, and more.
1:56.1	And there's that category of mysteries for which we have no explanation at all. You know, the kind that are so weird you don't even know how to guess a solution.
