Summary

What if your last “no” was just a calendar issue? We explore the idea of a set time for favor and why outcomes often hinge on alignment, not just effort. From rejected pitches to paused creative projects and quiet reconciliations, we walk through real moments where timing turned a closed door into an open one—without changing the dream or the talent behind it. And, if you want more access to me, my coaching, and live monthly calls, I want to invite you to join us inside Self Coaching Society&...

Welcome to Let It Be Easy with Susie Moore.

The message today is simple, my friends, try again.

0:15.8

Did you try something once that didn't work?

0:18.8

Like maybe you tried launching a business or even starting a

0:22.0

podcast or trying a new workout. Maybe you tried cooking at home if that's not something that you

0:27.4

normally do. Maybe you tried going to a place that you thought would blow your mind, but it

0:31.5

turned out to be disappointing like a country. Consider this today, my friends. There is a set time for favor. I heard this in a sermon

0:43.2

recently. There is a set time for favor. So maybe you sent a pitch or you sent your name

0:50.6

forward to put your hat in the ring for an opportunity or you submitted your job application for something. It's not that you want a good fit. It's not that the opportunity

0:59.7

wasn't really good for you. It wasn't that anything was wrong. It's just the timing wasn't divine.

1:12.4

I remember submitting myself for pretty big interviews for my first book and getting rejected,

1:18.5

knowing that, gosh, you know, I'm the best picture. I don't know why this isn't happening,

1:24.3

knowing that I've got the skills to get the results, and then finding

1:28.9

it later with my second book, with my third book, with my ongoing work, that those opportunities

1:33.3

came to me. It's not that it was a mismatch. It's not that anyone did anything wrong. It just wasn't

1:40.0

the time. You know, I spoke to someone in my community recently who started a memoir while she was

1:46.9

pregnant and she got a lot of it done. Then, of course, her baby arrived. It's a well wind with the

1:51.6

newborn, certainly. And so she didn't finish. And this was like four or five years ago now.

1:56.8

And I said, well, maybe that wasn't the set time for your memoir. Maybe it's now. Your child's mobile.

2:01.7

You've got more free time. She said, you know what? I'm going to try again. This word try I don't

2:08.0

normally love because it's quite weak. And what is it? Is it Yoda? Says do or do not, there is no try.
