There was a shooting over the weekend at the White House Correspondence dinner in Washington, D.C.

And I think there's a lot to say about it.

Can you give us sort of a big picture overview of what happened and what we know about the shooter and his motives?

So the sort of moment-by-moment story seems to have been that at the White House Correspondents Association's annual dinner, which was held at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., in this ballroom that's at the sort of in the basement of this big giant hotel.

People may remember it as the hotel where Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981, outside the hotel.
