When I've been with you on Friday nights, we've been on the subject of the things of the

spirit. The things of the spirit. So let's go again to 1st Corinthians chapter 12 and let's

go into some more things of the spirit.

Now, I'll be reading from the Young's literal translation because, as we've said

before, there's a lot of loose, I shouldn't call it translation, because's because it's paraphrase in the modern

translations and paraphrases, because if your doctrine is wrong about something, you're

going to run into other portions of scripture that don't agree every time.

And a lot of folks, if they haven't experienced something for themselves, then that they see in the word, then they try to explain it away and say, well, you know, that's not for us,

or that's passed away, or just in the early church.

There's no two churches.

We're a part of the same church that you read about in the book of Acts.

We've got the same gospel, same spirit, same love directive command, same Jesus, Lord and Master.

And you'll find that a number of people have not accepted the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the speaking with tongues.

And then also, if you're wrong about that, you're not going to understand the 12th and 14th

chapters of 1st Corinthians.

It's going to be like reading the foreign language to you.

And so that is the case.

And many have tried to explain these things naturally.

And so they'll try to say that gifts of healings are doctors and nurses or something.

Absolutely not.

They'll try to say that tongues and interpretation are people who learn multiple language and have linguistic ability.

And a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge is just wise people
