Summary
While attending university in Edmundston, New Brunswick, this listener spent long stretches alone in the basement apartment he shared with his parents. For the most part, the place was quiet—until one particular week when things started to feel… different.
It began with something small. The television in the kitchen turning on by itself in the middle of the night.
Then the dreams started. At first, they seemed like ordinary nightmares, but as the nights passed, they began to connect in unsettling ways. Each one seemed to build on the last, and more than once, he woke up unable to move, feeling like something was in the room with him.
By the end of that week, he wasn’t sure whether what he experienced was just sleep paralysis… or something else entirely.
