Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazora.

Matt Canada has been fired. I know you all know this, but I'm hoping there's one Steelers fan somehow stumbling in the

finding out the news this way that'd be fun we can litigate his tenure and his

obvious struggles in Pittsburgh but that's literally and figuratively yesterday's news.

Now it's about the path forward for a six and four Steelers team still in the thick of the

playoff hunt trying to solve these next seven games.

Leaving the way will be quarterback's coach Mike Sullivan and running back coach Eddie

Faulkner, a two-pronged approach to replace Canada.

So I guess that makes Mac Canada

think of Fitzpatrick?

That doesn't seem right.

Anyway, my point here, a quick bio on the Steelers' new faces, Faulkner and Sullivan.

Faulkner holds the official title of Interim-O-C and will lead the coaching staff through the week in game planning, organizing, and delegating.

Sullivan will handle the actual play calling.

Faulkner is the longest tenured offensive coach on staff hired in 2019.

I've always appreciated his practice creativity,

introducing new drills daily in camp that taught the same principles but in different ways.

It kept practice fresh and engaging and this team could use some of that I bet.

While the Steelers have been his first NFL stop, He coached in the college ranks for years, including a stint as Ball State's offensive coordinator.

In 2010, he also spent nearly a month as Ball State's interim head coach after Stan Parish was fired and before the school
