Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Ross McCorkle.

The AFC North remains very competitive as an even tighter race following week 10.

The Steelers and Browns won while the Ravens and Bengals lost, so the Steelers are back within one game of being atop the division once again.

The Steelers have had at least six wins at this point in the season 14 times since 2000, but not all six win teams are built the same.

In terms of total offensive yardage output the 2023 Steelers are the bottom of

that 14 season list with 2,557 yards.

Interestingly, the 2008 Steelers who went on to win the Super Bowl

are the next lowest unit with just 40 yards more than this year's team.

So what about the total yards allowed on defense? Well that

tells a different story. The 2023 Steelers have the most yards allowed of any of the

six-plus win teams with 3, 417 through 9 games.

That 2008 group had just 2,163 yards allowed,

so this is by far the worst six-win Steelers team

in terms of yardage differential.

The next two weeks will end up telling the story of the season.

As of now the Steelers are undefeated in the AFC North with two and a record, but up next is the

Browns and then the Bengals. If they win one or both their path to the playoffs will be very

clear but they will find themselves in a tough spot if they lose both at six and five with a

500 win percentage in the AFC North. If they win one of these next two games it's time to start

believing that this team just might be able to sustain the unsustainable and

make the playoffs.
