It's a very minor footnote on the Pittsburgh Steelers solid win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, but I like mentioning the little things and it's otherwise gone

Undiscussed with a healthier Steelers defensive line one that at least included defense alignment to Marvin Leal in his return,

Third-year defense alignment Isaiah Loudemope did not play a single defensive snap against the Rams.

It's the latest and most obvious sign of the team's unhappiness

with his level of play and for good reason. Lautermoke has always offered next to nothing

as a pass-rushcher making him a base personnel player only, and even

his run defense has been below average.

Too slow off the ball, unable to shed, does not use his hands well enough. He's still dressing for games but not doing anything in them.

Kiano Benton, Leal, and Armand Watts are all getting work over him.

When Cam Hayward returns, likely within three are all getting work over him.

When Cam Hayward returns, likely within three to four weeks, Lautermook's time in Pittsburgh

is probably over, barring an injury to someone else in that position group.

Maybe he lands back on the practice

squad but Pittsburgh banked on him being a high-floor guy coming out of Wisconsin. He

cannot hit that mark and he figures to be off the 53 man roster by Thanksgiving.
