Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazora.

0:07.0

Looking back on Sunday night, here's my summation of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Special teams were awesome, the defense played well, and the offense played better.

0:19.0

All in a winning effort that matters most, and I recognize the circumstances they were facing.

0:24.4

The road team out west on a short week.

A win is a win.

0:29.2

But more specifically, Special Teams has been a huge catalyst for the Steelers success this year.

0:35.8

Presley Harvin flipping the field, Chris Boswell nailing three 50-yarders the past two games, including

0:41.8

a 57-yarder against the Raiders. The

0:43.8

past two games, including a 57 yarder against the Raiders and the coverage unit doing well overall.

Defensively, Pittsburgh was solid against Las Vegas. They bottled up the run game, pressured Jimmy Garopolo and made

0:55.3

splash plays in the secondary. It wasn't perfect. The Vante Adams dominated, but the

1:00.3

defense held up and I'll take it. The offense again it was improved no question about that

1:06.4

and hopefully something they can build on but the run games still left plenty to be desired

1:11.7

far too many negative plays while the group still got

1:14.7

off to a slow start. They were fortunate to avoid a pick six on what should have

1:19.8

been a walk-in score by cornerback Marcus Peters and still Pittsburgh's offense overall to not generate enough explosive plays.

1:28.3

I'm not expecting everything to be fixed in an instant, but it's important to offer inventory of where the offense

1:35.6

and this whole team is at.

1:37.7

This is still a work in progress and Pittsburgh to me does not look like a contender.

1:42.0

The scratching and clawing their way to victory,

1:44.0

it sure beats losing, but there is still a hill to climb.
