Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazora.

I know we're talking and reacting to last night's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. But before the Steelers kicked off,

news dropped the Steelers were adding to Matt Canada's role. According to Jordan Schultz,

Canada will retain play calling duties, but work even closer with quarterback

Kenny Pickett. In other words, the last thing anyone wanted to hear. It does sound weird.

It's like giving your 16-year year old who just crashed his corolla a

Lambo just so maybe he can get through those intersections a little bit quicker.

Somehow Canada always seems to fall up.

Now could this report be slightly off and this is actually a demotion disguised as a promotion?

Maybe. If that's the case we should find out soon but the report says Canada will

remain the play caller and nothing hints at a true step back in his current role

if anything Pittsburgh is going all, a last heave to try to make Canada work.

Make him part of every aspect of the process, get him as lockstep with the quarterback as possible to remove any excuse or any doubt about where

blame falls if it does not work. That seems to be the direction Pittsburgh is going. It's not what

fans want to hear, but but if anything if it does not work

it'll be the final nail that ends his tenure.
