Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazora.

Mike Tomlin said it well. One is a throwaway. Two is a pattern and it's about to become a problem.

Though Pittsburgh has many, many issues, through two games of their season,

everything starts at quarterback, and their starter does not look like the same guy.

Kenny Pickett just has not been good, not even close, his first two weeks.

It's not all on him of course and a near total lack of a run game is not doing him or this

offense any favors but his accuracy especially underneath has been poor and

he's developed serious tunnel vision of locking on the reeds and making careless

unforced mistakes. The training wheels were supposed to come off. He was meant to

have more freedom, but it's hard to give him the keys to anything right now.

He looked more comfortable in his rookie year than he does right now.

I know he's faced some tough defenses and potent past russers,

but that's going to be the matchup if Pittsburgh ever wants to compete for anything meaningful.

He's supposed to be a guy who does the routine things routinely.

Smart with the football, take what the defense gives you.

If this was a high-level Traitsy quarterback, you could accept some wild swings in his game and take the good with the bad.

Pickett is supposed to be steady and solid. He's anything but. I really don't know what's going on. How can a guy struggle like this after looking so good back in the summer? I'm not full-fledged panicking but he's got to play well against the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday night. Not just better, but well. This is a defense to win against. What I've seen so far does not inspire confidence, really, it's growing seeds of doubt.
