Well, that sucked.

That's my expert analysis of the Pittsburgh Steelers getting chewed up and spit out by the San Francisco 49ers yesterday, 30 to 7.

The 49ers are a great squad, but still the steelers expectations were much higher than this, obviously.

What irks me the most, among the many, is just this team's lack of physicality. Pittsburgh's pile did not move forward.

San France did. The 49ers won the point of attack on both sides of the ball.

And on Christian McCaffrey's 65-yard touchdown,

Levi Wallace played small while the Monte Casey's body

may still be flying in the air from the block wide receiver

Brandon Ayuk laid on him.

The theme of the Steelers' off season was bully ball.

Yesterday they were the ones bullied, stuffed into a locker, and it happened in week one at home. That's just

twisting the knife. That's not who the Steelers said they were going to be.

And if they can't prove Sunday was a one-off, if this continues, then the question becomes,

who are the Pittsburgh Steelers?

And then they run into the same identity crisis they dealt with last year. That's a troubling thought.
