Welcome to the Terrible Take, a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind.

I'm Alex Kazora. Getting to a 10 training camp each day gives us a window into the team you can't always see when you watch the game

and definitely not when you look at a box score. Though Pittsburgh retold

nearly their entire inside linebacker room the new look group has gotten off to a strong start.

Individually, Cole Holcomb, Kwan Alexander, and Alanden Roberts have had their impressive moments, but what's just as beneficial is the energy

they've brought to the room.

Veteran guys with a ton of snaps in the league, 20 years combined, they have quickly picked things up.

Holcomb is not quite as vocal as the others but a hard worker leading by example

always one of the first down to the field.

Roberts is a high octane always one of the first down to the field.

Roberts is a high octane dude and powerful hitter, but also a great teammate who embraces competition,

hanging around Alexander since the day he was signed, despite Alexander potentially cutting into his playing time.

And Alexander brings the most experience with leadership as the man in the middle.

That is one key difference compared to what Pittsburgh's

had in their musical chairs of years past.

Mike Tomlin once described Mark Barron as a mute

while Miles Jack was on the quieter side, ditto Devon Bush.

I like not just what I'm seeing from the Steelers inside linebackers, but what I'm hearing.

I'm still a bit skeptical and careful overall. I don't want to set the bar too high but the guys Pittsburgh have added are all energy bringers. That's a heck of a start.
