Welcome to the terrible take, a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazora.

Today's take won't directly be a Pittsburgh Steelers topic and it's something I should have discussed Wednesday when it was a little more topical so consider me

fashionably late and speaking of which fashion was in the news earlier this week

Chicago Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool was photographed doing some clothing modeling

in France. Steelers fans and sights, though not ours, ran with a chance to attack him over it.

And yeah, the clothing choices were goofy, not my cup of tea, but I'm no expert on fashion.

The negativity towards it partially comes on the heels of Bears media reporting the team is not happy with

Claypool's work ethic, missing most of the spring and OTA's with an injury.

And that part may be valid.

But a guy on vacation in the middle of June, the last chunk of time off before the season begins,

he can do whatever he wants with it as long as it's legal.

If he was at home playing video games just as far removed from football as this, no one would know, no one would care.

I get it, it's easy to bash Claypool and we've been critical of him too.

It's low-hanging fruit and easy story and the Steelers still

absolutely won that trade. But there's a line where you're just taking shots at a guy only

because it's trendy to do. Criticking players is definitely in bounce, it's what we do,

but we're all about being fair to those guys as well, and this internet free-for-all was anything but.
